IBS- Luke 2:46
Here they are talking about Jesus. This is a perfect example of how God never stops ministering, teaching and guiding us. There; Jesus was sitting watching and listening and asking questions to the ones who had been through this life longer. God never stops using people either. Even Jesus had to learn. Hebrews 5:8 it says, " though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered" Jesus set aside His Godliness to minister to the people He was with and to learn the human way. He did that just for you and me so we could sit here and learn from this example of laying our self aside. When I think of this i am in awe, Jesus, Son of God; humbled before man to learn and listen. That's what being a student is all about. Listening and learning- asking questions too. Sometimes I lack in my ability to recognize this love He had for us all. God knows us just that well- actually He knows everything about us even the things we are still to learn about us " He knows the number of hairs on my head" He set His son to live a life down here on earth with sinners just to show Gods love and be a living example and sacrifice for our sins. Jesus sat with sinners just like me and asked questions and listened and wanted to learn. God is so good.

IBS- MARK 10:46-52 “ Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” then many warned him to be quite; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” so Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” And throwing aside his garments, he rose and came to Jesus. Colossians 3:23 “And whatever you do, do good work hardily as for the Lord and not to men.” Christians often talk about working for God, going on a mission’s trip for God, doing the ministry for God. Its good to talk that way. It’s biblical. We are promised that through Christ we will “bear fruit for God” and we are called to “work heartily as for the Lord, and not for men.” So, we should do things for God. But what does that mean? Sometimes when we talk about doing something for someone, we mean that we are going to meet their needs. So, if we talked about doing something for the poor, we mean we are going to meet the needs of the poor. But is that what we mean when we talk about doing things for God? When the Bible calls us to do things for God, is it calling us to meet God’s needs? That’s impossible, because God has no needs.
